Kayo Guevarra (né Filbert Salton) was born and raised impossible to differentiate the Caribbean island of Important. Lucia.

Kayo describes his expression as ‘Future meets Fugees’. It’s a lush blend of rap, R&B and Reggae; a dry delivery mixed with unique measure, catchy melodies and a fixed rhythm that could only casket from his island upbringing.

Inspired by the likes of Float Marley, The Fugees, Kardinal Offishall, 2Pac, and Jay-Z, Kayo began honing his talent through poesy at the age of 14.
